“In Burgundy, when we talk about a Climate,
we do not raise our eyes to heaven, we lower them to the earth..”
In Burgundy
the term “Climat” designates a parcel of land, precisely demarcated, dedicated to the vines. Known under the same term since the Middle Ages, the precise location, the soil, the subsoil, the exposure, the microclimate and the history, all shape the unique personalities of a terroir and a vintage.
Carole Colin and Denis Jamet have opened Les Climats restaurant in 2013 to share their passion for Burgundy wines.

The Restaurant
The place has been renovated using photographs from 1905 ; high ceilings enhanced with pretty hand-painted friezes; reissued lighting ; large restored central buffet ; the resuscitated Estours marbles ; period mosaic floors ; Comfortable armchairs and tablecloths create a warm, nostalgic atmosphere.
The Conservatory
The conservatory (Winter garden) is a lovely spot under a glass roof with large bay windows overlooking the garden.
The “Grands Crus”
This space overlooks two spectacular red wine cellars, guaranteeing an optimum serving temperature.
It also serves as a backdrop for a pretty table for up to 8 guests.
The Secret Garden
As soon as the weather allows it a few number of happy guests can enjoy lunch in the sun, away from the wrath of the city. (open at lunch time only).
The very first Parisian house for ladies of posts, telegraphs and telephones
Situated in one of Paris' most prestigious districts, The "41 rue de Lille" is a classified site for its Art Nouveau architecture. Originally, the “Demoiselles de la Poste” were housed here in the 111 available heated rooms. Meals were served in a dining room opening onto a winter garden (a conservatory). It is in this decor that Les Climats chose to settles.
Working closely with an architect and a decorator, the owners' dream was to restore the splendor of the place as it was when it was built in 1905.
La Maison des Dames des Postes, Télégraphes et Téléphone is the only Parisian example of the "Arts and Crafts "movement. It is a mythical spot that simply cried out to be restored.
The ceiling vaults have been re-carved and redecorated. Estours marble pilasters, popular in the 1900s but very rare today, have been renovated and polished. The Art Nouveau stained class windows have been repaired.
